Job summary

BGIS City of London is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities team on a prestigious commercial site.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and monitor critical building systems. You will also update CAFM records, support safety procedures, and liaise with clients to ensure high service standards.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.

Responsibilities

Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical and building services plant.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
Monitor and maintain critical building systems.
Support HVAC, UPS, generators, LV systems and other M&E equipment.
Update maintenance records and CAFM systems accurately.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
Supervise specialist subcontractors when required.
Build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
