Job Title

Associate Director – Asset Engineering Consultancy

We are expanding our Engineering Consultancy team and seeking an Associate Director to join our Asset Engineering Consultancy, focusing on Commercial, Industrial & Leisure sectors. The role involves delivering M&E Asset Engineering services such as Technical Due Diligence, Dilapidations, M&E Audits, Condition Surveys, and PPM/Life Cycle Costing to various clients. The ideal candidate is a client-facing Senior Mechanical Engineer with technical asset management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure and adapt to market changes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational: Manage the delivery of building services engineering projects, oversee client and project teams, and ensure high-quality, profitable instructions.
  2. Complete surveys and reports from inception to completion, adhering to company policies and quality management procedures.
  3. Contribute to the department's business plan and revenue targets.
  4. Review maintenance performance, provide technical advice, and report on statutory requirements.
  5. Analyse contractor performance and costs, chair contract review meetings, and manage planned maintenance.
  6. Conduct technical due diligence reviews, develop client relationships, and explore new business opportunities.
  7. Perform lifecycle inspections of M&E plant and assist in dilapidation negotiations and refurbishment projects.
Person Specification
  • Experience in Building Services with asset management skills and design understanding.
  • Qualified to at least HNC/HND level; Mechanical or Building Services Engineering degree preferred; Chartered status or working towards it desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical systems, Net Zero, and Low Carbon buildings.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK & Europe and hold a valid driving license.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
