Job summary

Amey Group Services LTD is seeking a facilities technician to uphold critical fire safety and security systems within a prison environment in Tees Valley, United Kingdom. The role emphasizes reliable operation and regulatory compliance of essential building services.

You will perform routine checks on extinguishers, hydrants, hoses, smoke vents and emergency lighting, undertake fire door maintenance, and handle CCTV/alarm tasks while ensuring comprehensive documentation in the CAFM system.

Responsibilities

• Maintain essential building, fire safety and security systems to support a safe and compliant prison environment.
• Complete planned checks and testing of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, fire hoses, smoke vents and emergency lighting.
• Carry out fire door maintenance and checks on misting units.
• Complete residual current device testing and water temperature checks in accordance with site requirements.
• Undertake general tasks associated with CCTV and alarm systems.
• Raise, update and close remedial work through the Computer Aided Facilities Management system, maintaining clear and accurate records.
