Amey is seeking a General Building Maintenance Engineer in Yarm to maintain essential building, fire safety and security systems supporting a safe prison environment.

You will complete planned checks and testing of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hoses, smoke vents and emergency lighting, carry out fire door maintenance, and conduct residual current device testing and water temperature checks in line with site requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Practical experience of general building maintenance and compliance activities.
• Experience of fire door and fire extinguisher maintenance.
• Experience of emergency lighting, residual current device testing and water temperature testing.
• Familiarity with fire alarm systems and their core points.
• Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate electronic records.
