Job Description:

FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Building Maintenance Operative to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. As our Building Maintenance Operative you will conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems ensuring functionality and safety. This is a permanent, full time position based from our head office in Sevenoaks, Kent.

The duties of the Building Maintenance Operative role will include:

-Responding promptly to maintenance requests, diagnosing issues and carrying out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime and maintain a safe environment

-Performing minor repairs on fixtures, equipment, doors, windows, carpentry and conducting painting if needed

-Adhering to safety guidelines and regulations, identifying potential hazards and reporting safety concerns promptly to supervisors

-Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, updating maintenance logs and ensuring documentation of completed tasks

-Assisting in larger renovation projects or facilities improvements and working collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure projects are carried out in a timely manner

What skills and experience do you need?

The successful candidate will have proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role. You will have a solid understanding of building systems, equipment and tools and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing property or maintenance issues. This role may require you to lift heavy equipment so you must have the ability to perform manual to other company locations may be required therefore, you must hold a full UK driving license.
