Job summary

Mech Tech Professionals in Wrexham is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our industrial maintenance team. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics across site equipment.

The role requires strong electrical fault-finding and mechanical knowledge, a recognised electrical qualification (18th Edition), and willingness to work mornings/afternoons and alternate Saturdays (overtime paid).

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer.
• Strong electrical fault finding and mechanical knowledge.
• Qualified to 18th Edition or equivalent.
• Experience with PLCs, motors, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Willingness to work alternate Saturdays - paid at time and a half.
• Willingness to work mornings and afternoons - alternate weeks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance across industrial equipment.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns.
• Maintain motors, gearboxes and conveyors, PLCs and pneumatics.
• Support electrical and mechanical plant maintenance activities.
• Contribute to preventative maintenance programs.

Job Purpose

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and breakdown recovery across a wide range of industrial equipment, including:

• Motors, gearboxes & conveyors
• PLCs, hydraulics & pneumatics
• Electrical wiring & installations
• Mechanical and electrical plant
• General planned preventative maintenance
