Job summary

Arcus FM Limited in Brentwood is seeking an experienced Building Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our National Support Centre. You will ensure a brilliant working environment for staff, visitors and clients by delivering top-notch facilities, security, and customer service while maintaining compliance and budgets.

You will manage contractors, oversee room bookings, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships quickly.
• Understanding of facilities management building requirements and support services.
• Strong IT skills and familiarity with work order systems (Verisae, Aeromark, MS Office).
• Ability to manage contractors and monitor performance.
• Proactive, Well-organised with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Compliance awareness; IOSH/legionella/asbestos knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Arcus in our Brentwood buildings for clients, visitors and colleagues.
• Oversee all building operations and ensure a brilliant working environment within budget.
• Manage sub-contractors and visitors, including sign-in and badge issuance.
• Coordinate room bookings and ensure high-quality service for stakeholders.
• Travel to other sites as needed and actively manage dispersed buildings remotely.
