Join Cumberland Council's Building Control team and help shape a safer built environment for the people and communities we serve. As a Building Control Service Inspector (Level 2F), you will play a key role in ensuring that building projects comply with Building Regulations and associated legislation, protecting public health, safety, and wellbeing.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll manage a diverse caseload of building control applications, undertake site inspections, assess plans, and provide expert advice to customers, developers, architects, and contractors. You'll also contribute to enforcement activity, deal with dangerous structures and demolition matters, and act as an expert witness where required.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you'll be trusted to plan and manage your own workload while supporting the wider service and providing oversight to colleagues across the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Control professional registered at Level 2F in accordance with the Building Inspector Competence Framework (BICoF) who is looking to broaden their experience, take on greater responsibility, and contribute to the delivery of safe, sustainable development across Cumberland.
