Job summary

NUVIA UK seeks a hands-on engineer to support the Lead Engineer and Project Engineer in planning, coordinating, and delivering engineering activities for the ILW Buffer Storage Facility. You will act as the day-to-day focal point, coordinating interfaces among stakeholders and ensuring deliverables meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

Role requires strong planning, multi-disciplinary coordination, and clear written communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering discipline (BSc/MSc).
• Chartered Engineer status or progress towards registration.
• Experience delivering engineering projects in regulated industries.
• Familiarity with CDM Regulations 2015.
• Desirable project management qualification (APM/PRINCE2/PMI).

Responsibilities

• Support Lead/Project Engineer in ILW Buffer Storage project across design phases.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering activities and interfaces.
• Manage technical interfaces between teams, management, waste, safety, and operations.
• Develop project requirements, design docs, and technical specs.
• Coordinate design reviews and option studies; ensure compliance with regs.
