Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is seeking a dedicated British Sign Language Teaching Assistant to support pupils with hearing impairments in a Gateshead school from September. The role focuses on enabling access to learning and active participation in school life.

You will provide daily BSL support, aid classroom activities, and help develop communication and language skills while promoting confidence and inclusion alongside teachers and staff.

Qualifications

• A recognised BSL Level 2 qualification.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience within education, care or youth settings (desirable).
• A compassionate and proactive nature.
• A full UK driving licence and access to transport.
