Job summary

Philosophy Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with hearing impairments at Greenwich Secondary School. The role focuses on assisting 11-18 year olds in a specialist deaf provision, translating between spoken language and BSL as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSL qualification (Level 2 desirable) and have strong English skills to adapt materials for Deaf students. Immediate start and full-time (Mon-Fri) with hours to be confirmed.

A dynamic and forward thinking secondary school are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with hearing impairments in their specialist unit.

The Role

In this role you will supporting 11 - 18 year old pupils who have a range of hearing needs across the school. The school are ideally looking for a learning support assistant who holds a BSL qualification (level 2 desirable) and a knowledge of Makaton as you will be required totranslate spoken language into BSL competently within a mainstream classroom.

You will be required every day (Mon - Fri) but hours are to be confirmed.
