The Deaf Academy in Exmouth is seeking a dedicated Communication Support Worker to ensure Deaf students can fully access learning and achieve meaningful qualifications. You will provide high-quality BSL support and contribute to a supportive, multimodal learning environment.

You'll mentor less experienced CSWs, assist with annual reviews and EHCP processes, and help students gain valuable workplace experience and independence for adulthood. DBS check is required.

Competenze

• BSL level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or progress towards higher-level qualifications.
• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)
• Edexcel Professional Development Award for CSWs.

Mansioni

• Provide high-quality BSL communication support across education, community and workplace settings.
• Support learners across Level 1, 2 and 3 programmes.
• Act as a mentor for less experienced CSWs.
• Contribute to annual reviews and EHCP processes.
• Support quality assurance and best practice within the CSW team.
• Work with teaching staff to develop multimodal learning environments.
• Support students undertaking supported internships and preparation for adulthood programmes.
