IDEX Consulting Ltd in Sheffield is seeking a Broking Manager to lead a team of 13 Account Handlers. The role focuses on people development, team performance, and working with senior management to shape the team’s direction.

Initially no client book to manage, with potential to build one later. The ideal candidate has a strong insurance broking background and proven experience leading people, with openness to move from a senior broker or Account Executive into management.

A new Broking Manager opportunity in Sheffield, leading a team of 13 Account Handlers.

This is a role where the focus is firmly on people. There’s no book to inherit initially, giving you the chance to concentrate on the team, their development and performance without having to balance that with managing your own clients from day one.

You’ll be responsible for providing direction and support, developing the team and helping people progress in their roles. You’ll also work closely with senior management and play an important part in the wider direction of the team.

For someone who enjoys the client side of broking too, there is scope to build a book of your own further down the line. So while the initial focus is management, there is flexibility around how the role develops.

The ideal person will have a strong insurance broking background, previous experience managing or leading people, and genuinely enjoy helping others develop. It could also suit an experienced Account Executive or senior broker who is ready to make the move into management.
