Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and build relationships.
  • Good administrative and time management skills.
  • Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotes to be sent to Clients.
  • Review market submissions for new and renewal business.
  • Liaise with Client Service teams to request information.
  • Process necessary documentation and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Build relationships with brokers, technicians, clients and underwriters.
  • Complete checklists on all bound risks.
  • Compile and send submissions to the market.
  • Prepare client meeting itineraries and presentation documents.
  • Upload firm order slips to PPL and see through to signing and close.
  • Update revenue pipeline and prepare weekly meeting notes.

Introduction

As a Broker Assistant (Apprentice), you will be supported to achieve professional qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Insurance to become Cert CII qualified. This is usually achieved via the fully supported Level 3 apprenticeship route.

The programme will give you the opportunity to develop and build your experience. We’ll provide a combination of formal and on the job learning, as well as professional development. Job Purpose

To support our property placing brokers and the technical team by providing an excellent service, ensuring all requests are dealt with efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare quotes to be sent to Clients.
  • Review market submissions for new and renewal business.
  • Liaise with Client Service teams to request information.
  • Processes necessary documentation and follows up on outstanding documentation with the appropriate party to ensure the smooth continuation of the Placement process.
  • Build relationships with key brokers, technicians, clients and underwriters.
  • Complete checklists on all bound risks
  • Compile and send submissions to the market
  • Prepare client meeting itineraries and presentation documents
  • Upload firm order slips to PPL and see through to signing and close
  • Update revenue pipeline and preparing weekly meetings notes
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications
  • GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 5 or above (or equivalent).
  • Commitment to studying and achieving the Cert CII (usually via the Level 3 apprenticeship route) within an 18–24-month period.
  • Strong communication skills (including written and verbal) with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others — strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding and affinity for relationship building.
  • Good administrative and time management skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
