  • Identify potential errors and omissions risks, recommend appropriate action and elevate promptly.
  • Contribute to ad hoc tasks, projects and improvements to team processes or data quality.
  • Manage competing priorities and adjust plans when requirements change.
  • Build trusted relationships within the team and effective relationships with wider internal stakeholders.
  • Use feedback, data and technology to improve own performance and service delivery.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

  • Sound understanding of insurance principles and the policy lifecycle
  • An understanding of classes of business.
  • Understanding of applicable broking, claims, premium and delegated authority processes.
  • Understanding of London Market processes, insurance distribution channels and the wider insurance industry.
  • Understanding of the link between the role and IBA.
  • Ability to analyse information, make routine decisions and solve problems using policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work with moderate guidance and recognise when escalation is required.
  • Competent use of relevant business systems, Microsoft Excel and Power BI reports.
  • Strong communication, organisation, customer service and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • CII Cert, or equivalent relevant technical knowledge and experience.

To be considered for our Technician talent pool, candidates must be able to demonstrate hands-on experience in a claims handling or technician role. Applications without relevant experience will not be progressed.
