Job summary

QVC UK is seeking a Broadcast Systems Engineer to support the broadcasting infrastructure and end users from our state-of-the-art Media and Commerce Centre in Chiswick Park. You will work onsite on a shift basis, reporting to the Senior Manager for Broadcast Engineering.

Role requires pre-existing engineering experience in a television broadcast environment and the ability to troubleshoot complex live systems.

Qualifications

Experience in a television broadcast environment.
Ability to troubleshoot live broadcast systems quickly and effectively.
Experience with complex systems down to component level.
Systems design and installation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide root cause analysis of escalated and complex incidents related to broadcasting systems.
Impart technical expertise of established broadcasting standards to the UK Broadcast Engineering team.
Manage and optimize system performance of broadcasting systems to ensure 24x7 availability.
Develop and document standards and procedures for all broadcasting systems.
Manage small to medium scale broadcasting projects.
Provide system support for all broadcast systems (video routers, audio mixers, cameras, robotics, switchers, intercom, etc.)
