Job summary

QVC Group, Inc. is seeking a Broadcast Systems Engineer to support the UK operation and provide system support for the broadcast infrastructure. The role is onsite at the Media and Commerce Centre in Chiswick Park and follows a shift-based schedule.

You will work with video routers, audio mixers, cameras, robotics, switchers, and intercom systems while ensuring 24x7 availability and applying established broadcasting standards across the team.

Qualifications

  • Engineering experience in a television broadcast environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex live broadcast systems quickly.
  • Experience with large broadcast infrastructure and equipment.
  • CAD design experience is a plus.
  • Experience installing, monitoring and troubleshooting broadcast gear is a plus.
  • Knowledge of broadcasting standards for UK operations is beneficial.

Your Opportunity

Reporting into the Senior Manager for Broadcast Engineering, as Broadcast Systems Engineer you will support QVC UK and provide system support for the broadcast infrastructure and support for end users.

Where You'll Work

This role is onsite and will require you to work from our state-of-the-art Media and Commerce Centre in Chiswick Park daily. This role is on a shift basis.

What You'll Do
  • Provide root cause analysis of escalated and complex incidents/problems related to broadcasting systems.
  • Impart technical expertise of established broadcasting standards to the UK Broadcast Engineering team.
  • Manage and optimize system performance of broadcasting systems to ensure 24x7x365 availability.
  • Develop and document standards and procedures for all broadcasting systems.
  • Manage small to medium scale broadcasting projects.
  • Provide system support for all broadcast systems (video routers, audio mixers, cameras, robotics, switchers, intercom, etc.).
What You'll Bring
  • Engineering experience in a television broadcast environment
  • Experience trouble-shooting related systems and be competent in reacting quickly to critical situations that occur in live broadcast situations.
  • Experience with complex systems to a component board level troubleshooting and state of the art computer, server and broadcast equipment.
  • Systems design and installation experience is a plus.
  • CAD design experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a corporate or broadcasting environment, installing, monitoring & troubleshooting broadcast equipment is a plus.
