Job summary

M&M Supply is recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with schools across Bristol. The HLTA will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, lead small-group interventions, and support pupils with SEND to ensure progress.

The role requires HLTA status or significant HLTA experience, a track record in UK schools, and a flexible, reliable, professional approach. DBS checks and safeguarding are emphasized.

Qualifications

• HLTA status/qualification or significant experience in HLTA role.
• Experience working in a UK school setting.
• Confident delivery of learning activities and classroom cover.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Lead small-group interventions and targeted learning sessions.
• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with planning, preparation and resources.
• Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Help pupils stay engaged and make progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to staff on pupil progress.
• Support implementation of learning plans and EHCP targets where appropriate.
• Contribute to wider school community and safeguarding standards.
