Qualifications

• Minimum one year as Sound Assistant in TV factual post-production.
• Pro Tools proficiency for session setup and editing.
• Experience with EQ, compression, limiting, reverb, and noise reduction.
• Experience with Soundminer or BaseHead.
• Strong stereo design, ambience, and spot effects.
• Excellent session organization and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of EBU R128 loudness standards (desirable).
• Willing to work full-time on-site in Brighton or travel.
• Not open to recent graduates or those with Junior Sound Editor credits.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Pro Tools sessions, editing and track management.
• Conform audio to picture changes and integrate with video edits.
• Apply EQ, compression, limiting, reverb, and noise reduction.
• Organize audio assets with Soundminer or BaseHead.
• Design stereo soundscapes, ambience, and spot effects.
• Collaborate with post production teams for handovers.
• Maintain session organization and EBU R128 compliance.
• Utilize sound effects libraries to enhance audio quality.
• Support the team with general post‑production audio tasks.
