Job summary

Astute is recruiting a Project Engineer for a permanent role based at Bridgwater, with travel to client and supplier sites as required. You will own technical delivery across multiple disciplines, coordinating engineering, procurement, production, installation and commissioning to meet milestones.

The role suits an engineer who enjoys hands‑on delivery, cross‑functional collaboration and progressing toward project management responsibilities within a nuclear/regulated environment.

Qualifications

• A degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in electrical, control, mechanical or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience coordinating engineering projects, technical work packages, subcontractors or suppliers within a multi‑discipline environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation and relate them to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technical coordination and day‑to‑day delivery of engineering work packages.
• Develop and maintain technical delivery plans, schedules, logs, and change documentation.
• Coordinate interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, Production, suppliers, installation and clients.
