Job summary

AMS Nuclear Engineering Ltd, Bridgwater, is seeking a Project Manager to lead day-to-day delivery of engineering projects in a growing SME environment. You will own scope, programme, cost, quality and risk, maintaining clear commercial position and client communications across interfaces.

Based at Bridgwater Gateway with travel to client and supplier sites, the role anchors 37.5 hours per week and requires hands-on delivery, practical controls and strong collaborative teamwork to translate

Qualifications

• Experience delivering and controlling engineering or technical projects.
• Proven programme management, client communication and project financials.
• PM qualification welcome; practical capability and work style matter.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery strategy, scope, programme, budget, forecast, risk, quality and close-out for your projects.
• Build and maintain understanding of contract, technical scope, deliverables, interfaces, acceptance requirements and assumptions.
• Create and use effective project controls: plans, logs, risk/issue, change control, cost forecasts, progress reports.
• Lead project meetings and act as principal day-to-day client contact with clear communications.
• Coordinate engineering, workshop, supply chain and client activity; test progress against evidence and manage dependencies.
• Identify and manage change, risk, delay and non-conformance early with clear actions.
• Manage project commercial performance: cost, forecast, invoicing, variations, cash collection.
• Support and develop Project Coordinators, contribute to bids and handovers.
