Job summary

Marella Cruises is seeking a 2nd Officer to join the cruise vessel MAHRELLA EXPLORER for a contract rotation. You will maintain the navigational watch, assist the Navigation and Safety Officers, and ensure regulatory compliance at sea, in port and at anchor. Strong English skills, STCW95, and a CoC A-II/1 are mandatory.

The role involves coordinating with the Master and crew, managing bridge operations, and keeping precise logs while upholding safety standards onboard the ship.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW95 certification is required.
• Valid CoC A-II/1 is required.
• Strong navigational chart knowledge and route planning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe navigational watch on the bridge at sea, in port and at anchor.
• Assist Safety Officer and Navigation Officer as directed by the Master.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of equipment and charts.
• Keep logs and handover notes, monitor navigation equipment and signals.
