Job summary

BakerHicks is seeking an Engineer – Bridges to design and specify elements of bridge works across multiple sectors. You will contribute to mentoring early careers and champion quality controls within teams.

The role requires knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes, with ongoing professional development toward ICE/IStructE chartership. You will work with a team of engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality output on projects, attend design courses, and engage in client liaison as well

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered/IStructE membership or progression required.
• Experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects in BakerHicks sectors requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design and consultancy services under line manager or project lead.
• Produce design deliverables, site surveys, construction duties and client liaison.
• Check calculations and drawings for quality and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design team for safe, buildable solutions.
• Prepare enquiry plans, tender reviews, scopes of work and change controls.
