Job summary

Oldham College is seeking an experienced Tutor Assessor in Brickwork to support apprentices and work-based learners through high-quality assessment, coaching and learner support. You will collaborate with employers to ensure progress and industry-ready qualifications.

The role requires a Level 5+ teaching qualification with an assessor qualification and a minimum of 5 years in Brickwork/Construction, plus strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Brickwork Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above and an assessor qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience in Brickwork/Construction.
• Experience of supporting learners in apprenticeship or work-based learning.
• Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality assessment, coaching and learner support in line with College and awarding body requirements.
• Monitor learner progress and carry out regular reviews, setting clear targets and providing effective feedback.
• Work collaboratively with employers and workplace mentors to support learner development and achievement.
• Maintain accurate learner records, assessment evidence and compliance documentation.
• Carry out workplace visits and contribute to quality assurance and standardisation activities.
• Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments.
