Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a Brick Assessor for a temporary role in the North West. You will join a further education provider to assess apprentices against industry standards and guide them through their apprenticeship journey.

You’ll collaborate with learners, employers and curriculum colleagues to ensure apprentices develop the required technical skills, knowledge and behaviours expected in the trade.

Qualifications

• Level 3 bricklaying qualification or equivalent
• Practical industry experience in bricklaying
• Confident communication with learners and employers

Responsibilities

• Assessing apprentices against apprenticeship standards and qualification requirements
• Carrying out workplace observations, assessments and progress reviews with apprentices and employers
• Supporting learners with evidence gathering and portfolio development
• Making fair and accurate assessment decisions and providing constructive feedback
• Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with employers
• Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge through continuing professional development

Are you an experienced bricklayer looking to support the next generation of skilled tradespeople?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider in the North West, assessing apprentices against industry standards and supporting them through their apprenticeship journey.

You'll work closely with learners, employers and curriculum colleagues so that apprentices build the technical skills, knowledge and behaviours the trade expects.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We’re Looking For

Essential:
