The role involves assisting the Consultant Surgeon/Radiologist during biopsy procedures, preparing equipment and dressing wounds, and chaperoning patients during consultations and examinations.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Knowledge of NHS Breast Screening Programme.

Responsibilities

• Assist Consultant Surgeon/Radiologist during breast biopsy procedures.
• Prepare and check equipment prior to biopsy.
• Chaperone patients during consultation and examination.
• Prepare procedure trolley for ultrasound or punch biopsy.
• Apply dressing following biopsy in line with aseptic technique.
