Job summary

Heartwood Collection is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team, bringing passion for fresh, seasonal dishes and strong leadership to run service from the line.

Hours start at 6 am through 2:30 pm, with a minimum 40-hour contract and paid overtime. The role offers training, an extensive benefits package including TRONC, referral bonuses, and staff discounts across Heartwood Inns and Brasserie Blanc.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in running service from the line.
• Ability to run kitchen sections and mentor junior staff.
• 3–4 years in a Sous Chef role or similar, with branded ops exposure.

About You:

• Have a proven track record in running service from the line, fresh food cuisine and delivering training and support to chefs
• Able to work on and run any sections in the kitchen team, demonstrate leadership skills and assist the head chef
• 3-4 years experience in a Sous Chef role or similar, preferably with exposure to branded operations and a basic understanding of administration operations
