Job summary

Grantley Hall in North Yorkshire invites applications for a full-time Breakfast Manager to lead our breakfast service in a busy luxury hotel. You will oversee the breakfast operations team, ensure high standards of guest care, and collaborate with the head chef to deliver excellent service from morning through lunch.

We seek a hands-on leader with proven hospitality experience, strong communication skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and guest satisfaction in a 4- or 5-star setting.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering high personal and departmental targets.
• Recent restaurant or breakfast supervisor experience in a 4–5 star hotel.
• Strong leadership, coaching and management skills.
• Own tasks with responsibility to complete to required results.
• Hands-on approach with a drive to improve operations.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain high standards.
• Clear written and spoken communication across departments.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
• Friendly, courteous, with excellent guest communication.
• Motivated to go the extra mile for guests and colleagues.
• Use of own initiative to support the Grantley Hall team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth running of breakfast and lunch on a day to day basis
• Ensure all Hygiene, Health and Safety legislations are followed within the restaurant
• Work with the breakfast chef to deliver an efficient and friendly service
• Ensure guest expectations are exceeded and seek opportunities to improve the guest experience by requesting feedback and evaluating service levels within the restaurant
• Oversee the cleaning of the restaurant
• Ensure that staffing levels and wage costs are kept in line with the business
• As Breakfast Manager you will be responsible for directing the food and beverage operations team to ensure both customer and host satisfaction is achieved in a motivated and cohesive environment
