Position Summary

As a Demi Chef at St Pancras, you will support the Chef de Partie in preparing ingredients for baking, including portioning, chopping, and storage.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare potentially hazardous foods at correct temperatures following HACCP guidelines.
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards, including hand disinfection, wearing hats/hairnets, and proper footwear.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety policies such as FIFO, dating, labelling, cleaning, and storage organization, including Cold Chain adherence.
  • Monitor food quality and notify managers of any issues.
  • Control food waste by monitoring preparation quantities and serving portions.
  • Communicate assistance needs during busy periods to ensure excellent guest service.
  • Operate kitchen appliances like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Check and record appliance and food temperatures, monitor freezer systems, and report issues.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on Food Safety Programs and comply with all regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate
  • Food Allergy and Intolerance Training Certificate
