Job Description

How does your working day look like …

  • Organize shifts in the section with regard to mise-en-place, production, and service.
  • Ensure all outlet reports, schedules, standard recipes, and correspondence are completed in liaison with the Chef De Cuisine.
  • Conduct and ensure comprehension of one-to-one training.
  • Check daily food preparation regarding portion size, quantity, and quality as laid down.
  • Understand and adhere to the company's policies on fire, hygiene, and safety.
  • Maintain operating and kitchen equipment to a good standard with minimal breakage.
  • Inspect incoming produce to ensure accuracy with order sheets, receiving records, and purchasing specifications.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably requested by management.
  • Follow strict hygiene rules and maintain HACCP standards throughout the resort.
  • Ensure all required food transfers are completed to the appropriate outlet/department.
  • Work in any section of the kitchen as necessary, depending on business levels and demands.
  • Experience in Levantine cuisine is preferred.
Qualifications

  • College or Culinary graduate
  • BSc in Culinary Arts
  • Internationally approved Food Safety Certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years in a five-star hotel or fine dining restaurant
  • Background in different cuisines
  • Experience working with multicultural teams
  • Knowledge of competitor practices and industry standards
  • Good understanding of the English language
  • Proficiency in computer and Microsoft Office skills
