Job summary

Woolmer Hill School in Willoughton CP is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to supervise pupils and support a range of structured and free-play activities before school. You will promote positive behaviour, help prepare and tidy areas, liaise with parents at collection times, and provide basic first aid where trained, reporting incidents as required and following safeguarding policies.

This role is 3.45 hours/week (8am - 9am), Monday to Friday, term time only, with opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• Supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times.
• Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Assist with preparing and tidying activity areas and resources.
• Provide basic first aid where trained and report incidents appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children whilst eating, outside on the playground, corridors.
• Set up and serve breakfast where required.
• Promote positive behaviour, independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Contribute to creating a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.
