Job summary

Upham Inns is seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our team in a lively pub setting in Southern England. The role offers an hourly rate up to 12.50 with a share of Tronc (potentially up to £5,000 yearly) and flexible shifts to suit business needs.

Qualifications

• Independent work and multi-tasking ability.
• Experience in a similar role or interest in culinary career.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment.
• Weekend shifts availability.
• Strong Chef capable of training and developing juniors.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Chef.
• Excellent communication skills; Right to Work in the UK.
• Excellent culinary and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate breakfast dishes to specs.
• Prep ingredients for senior chefs with attention to detail.
• Maintain high standards for quality and service.

Breakfast chef Requirements:

• The ability to work well independently and multi-task.
• Experience in a similar role or a keen interest in pursuing a culinary career.
• The ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured environment.
• Availability to work shifts, including weekends as per business needs.
• Be a strong Chef, with the ability to train, Coach and develop junior chefs
• At least 1 year experience as a Chef

Breakfast Chef Responsibilities:

• Preparing and plating up breakfast dishes in an efficient manner and using the menu specs provided.
• Preparing ingredients for senior chefs, ensuring great attention to detail for the menu specs provided.
• Working to a high standard to ensure customers receive the best quality food.
• Complying with all health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Cooks guests' orders according to their preferences
• Employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
• Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces
• Coaches other chef's and other members of the kitchen staff, so they perform at their best
• Takes direction and works with the restaurant's administrative team
