Job summary

Upham Inns is seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our team in Windsor. The role offers up to £12.50 per hour plus a share of Tronc (£5,000 potential yearly) and flexible shifts to suit business needs. You’ll be part of a growing pub group delivering high-quality breakfast service across our venues.

We look for independent workers with strong culinary skills who can train junior staff and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen. Weekend availability and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• The ability to work well independently and multi-task.
• Experience in a similar role or keen interest in pursuing a culinary career.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured environment.
• Availability to work shifts, including weekends as per business needs.
• Be a strong chef with the ability to train and develop junior chefs.
• At least 1 year experience as a Chef.
• Great communication skills.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Excellent culinary and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and plating up breakfast dishes efficiently per menu specs.
• Preparing ingredients for senior chefs with attention to detail.
• Maintain high standards to ensure best quality food for customers.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Cook guests' orders according to preferences.
• Coach and develop kitchen staff to perform at their best.
• Take direction from restaurant management and team.

Breakfast chef Requirements:

Breakfast Chef Responsibilities:

• Preparing and plating up breakfast dishes in an efficient manner and using the menu specs provided.
• Preparing ingredients for senior chefs, ensuring great attention to detail for the menu specs provided.
• Working to a high standard to ensure customers receive the best quality food.
• Complying with all health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Cooks guests' orders according to their preferences
• Employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
• Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces
• Coaches other chef's and other members of the kitchen staff, so they perform at their best
• Takes direction and works with the restaurant's administrative team

Our pubs are in idyllic settings in country villages and towns, where we are proud to be the quality local of the area, serving high quality fresh pub food in a cozy pub ambience. Most of our pubs have some Charming Bedrooms as well. New to our growing family is Harper’s Steakhouse, a new premium American Steakhouse brand that we started rolling out last year.
