Job summary

Pillar Hall in Olympia, West London, is seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to lead breakfast service in our fast-paced kitchen.

You will prepare high-quality breakfast dishes, maintain hygiene, and work closely with the kitchen team and front of house; early shifts and weekends may be required. We offer training, meal on duty, uniform, and progression within our growing hospitality group at one of West London’s iconic venues.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Breakfast Chef in a quality restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Genuine passion for producing high-quality breakfast dishes with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and mornings; reliable and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality breakfast dishes.
• Take ownership of the breakfast service and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Ensure all dishes follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specs.
• Keep your section organised and ready for each service.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Monitor stock levels, minimise waste and manage storage of ingredients.
• Assist with ordering and stock management as needed.
• Collaborate with Senior Chefs and kitchen team for daily operations.

Breakfast Chef – Join the Team at Pillar Hall

Join the team at Pillar Hall, an exceptional restaurant & events venue located within the iconic Olympia in West London.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our Kitchen team.

Located within the stunning Grade II listed Pillar Hall, our restaurant Idalia celebrates exceptional British produce, delivered with outstanding quality and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for creating exceptional breakfast dishes, strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional kitchen. You will take ownership of breakfast service, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation and kitchen organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality breakfast dishes to consistently excellent standards.
• Take ownership of the breakfast service, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in line with recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications.
• Ensure your section is organised, fully prepared and ready for each service.
• Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and organisation at all times.
• Monitor stock levels, minimise waste and ensure correct storage and rotation of ingredients.
• Assist with ordering and stock management when required.
• Work closely with the Senior Chefs and wider kitchen team to support efficient daily operations.
• Assist with preparation for other service periods and events when required.
• Communicate effectively with both Kitchen and Front of House teams to ensure seamless service.
• Take a proactive, hands‑on approach and remain calm and organised during busy service periods.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar role within a quality restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
• A genuine passion for producing high-quality food.
• Strong culinary skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience delivering a busy breakfast service.
• Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with a positive, can‑do attitude.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent team player with the ability to support colleagues and work closely with the wider kitchen team.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen best practices.
• Flexibility to work early mornings and public holidays when required.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

The Role

• £16.50 per hour.
• 40‑hour contract.
• Monday to Sunday operation.
• Early morning shifts required.
