Social Bird Newcastle is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead a brand new kitchen and deliver outstanding guest experiences in a hotel setting. You will take ownership of service quality and oversee a team to meet and exceed expectations.

The role requires a proactive leader with kitchen experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage early riser shifts starting around 5.30am. A collaborative, fast-paced environment awaits.

Responsibilities

• Follow specs from development team to ensure consistency.
• Assist Senior Breakfast Chef in all service and kitchen duties.
• Ensure kitchen procedures and standards are followed and cleaning schedules kept.
• Run a fast-paced breakfast service.
• Maintain good relationships with staff within hotel and restaurant.
• Lead service both solo and in team settings.
• Perform day-to-day kitchen tasks: cooking, cleaning, prep, deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow specs created by our development team to ensure strict consistency.
• Assist the Senior Breakfast Chef in all areas of service and kitchen duties.
• Ensure all kitchen procedures are followed and all a standards are upheld.
• Ensure strict and rigid cleaning schedule.
• Run a fast paced breakfast service.
• Have a good relationship with all staff within the hotel and restaurant.
• Lead service working alone and as part of a team.
• Complete day to day kitchen duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, prep, deliveries etc.
• Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager and Senior Breakfast Chef in all aspects of the kitchen and wider hotel .
• To be an ambassador for the hotel/ hospitality industry and the IHG hotel brand.
