Job summary

The Swan Inn in Grasmere is seeking a Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. You will take full responsibility for your section before, during and after service, ensuring presentation and quality are at the highest level.

We value punctuality, consistency and a commitment to fresh food environments. You will work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain standards and support a fast-paced operation. Colleague accommodation is provided.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Breakfast Chef, you’ll play a crucial role in our kitchen, ensuring presentation and attention to detail are key. A natural early riser, punctual and consistent, your experience in a similar role and commitment to fresh food environments will shine through as you take full responsibility for your section before, during, and after service. You will maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and quality, ensuring the appropriate storage, labelling, and dating of all food stock following company policy and legislation.

You’ll work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams, demonstrating strong communication, time-keeping, and organisational skills.
