Job summary

Hastings Hotels, a luxury hotel group based in Northern Ireland, is seeking a reliable Breakfast Chef for Ballygally Castle. You will join a talented kitchen team under the Head Chef, working 35 hours per week across 5 shifts, 6am–2pm, with weekends as required.

Salary for this full-time position is £26,648 per annum. NVQ2 in Food Prep and Cooking and a valid Food Hygiene Certificate are required, with experience in quality catering preferred. Right to Work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking is required.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in quality catering operations is desirable.
• Must have valid Food Hygiene Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise breakfast kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain quality standards and daily procedures.
• Monitor stock control and ordering in line with Hastings standards.
• Provide training and coaching to junior kitchen team.
• Ensure compliance with Hastings policies and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain security of kitchen and storage areas.
• Keep kitchen fixtures and equipment well maintained.
• Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Carry out any other duties as required.

The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out seven including weekends. Hours can vary but a typical shift pattern is 6am to 2pm.

The salary for this full-time position is £26,648.00 per annum.
