Job summary
RBH Hospitality Management Ltd’s Wotton House in Surrey is seeking a friendly Breakfast Assistant to join our Food & Beverage team. You’ll help guests start their day with a warm welcome, set up the breakfast buffet, take orders, serve hot drinks and deliver attentive service in a busy, sociable environment.
Experience in hospitality is helpful but not essential; more important are a positive attitude, teamwork and a willingness to learn. Weekend and early-morning shifts are required.
Qualifications
- Experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
- Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest service.
- Friendly, approachable and bubbly personality with a positive attitude.
- Confidence in communicating with guests and making them feel welcome.
- Great teamwork and willingness to support colleagues across the department.
- Ability to stay calm, organized and cheerful during busy breakfast services.
- Attention to detail and pride in high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Proactive, hands-on approach and ability to use your initiative.
- Willingness to learn about food, beverages and hospitality.
- Reliability, punctuality and enthusiasm for a busy team.

Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests with a warm smile and helping them feel at home.
- Delivering friendly, attentive and efficient breakfast service.
- Taking food and beverage orders and serving hot drinks.
- Setting up and replenishing the breakfast buffet; keeping it neat and fresh.
- Preparing the restaurant for breakfast service; setting tables and keeping areas welcoming.
- Clearing and resetting tables efficiently while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.
- Answering guest questions and assisting with dietary requirements.
- Working with the kitchen to ensure timely service.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas.
- Assisting with the breakdown after service and preparing for the next part of the day.

Our mornings can be wonderfully varied, from guests enjoying a leisurely countryside escape to wedding parties sharing stories from the night before and business guests getting ready for a busy day ahead.
We're looking for someone who loves meeting new people, enjoys being part of a team and knows that sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference.
You don't need to be a morning person who jumps out of bed singing (although we won't stop you!), but a positive attitude, a passion for hospitality and a willingness to get stuck in are a must!

You'll be:
- Welcoming our guests with a warm smile and a cheerful good morning, helping them feel right at home
- Delivering friendly, attentive and efficient breakfast service to ensure every guest has a fantastic start to their day
- Taking food and beverage orders, serving hot drinks and ensuring guests have everything they need
- Setting up and replenishing our breakfast buffet, making sure everything is beautifully presented, fresh and ready to enjoy
- Preparing the restaurant for breakfast service, including setting tables and ensuring everything is clean, organised and welcoming
- Clearing and resetting tables efficiently while maintaining a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere
- Being on hand to answer guest questions, provide recommendations and assist with dietary requirements and allergen enquiries in line with our procedures
- Working closely with our Kitchen team to ensure food is served promptly and to our high standards
- Keeping the restaurant, service stations and breakfast areas clean, tidy and well‑stocked throughout service
- Supporting with the breakdown of breakfast service and preparing the restaurant for the next part of the day
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards at all times
- Supporting your colleagues, sharing ideas and getting stuck in when things get busy!
We're looking for someone who understands that a great breakfast isn't just about delicious food and a good cup of coffee –
it's about making every guest feel wonderfully welcome.
You'll bring:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment would be advantageous, but isn't essential
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest service
