Job summary

St John Vianney Catholic Primary School in Blackpool is seeking a committed Breakfast and After School Lead to oversee our out-of-school provision. You will lead staff, plan activities for children aged 4-11, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment that reflects our Catholic ethos.

The role is permanent and part-time (20 hours per week). We offer a supportive team, strong professional development, and the chance to shape a valued service within our school community.

  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and wellbeing.
  • Develop the provision to meet the needs of pupils and families.

Job description

Thank you for your interest in applying for the role of Breakfast and After School Lead at St John Vianney Catholic Primary School. Our school has a warm feel with a strong Catholic ethos, and it maintains excellent standards as a top performing school in Blackpool due to the high-quality teaching and learning and our aspiration for all children to achieve.

St John Vianney is a two-form entry school with a Nursery and a SEND provision unit for 16 children with EHCPs. Our school is one of 34 English Hubs across England, selected for our expertise in teaching reading and for supporting schools in our surrounding area. Our children understand what it means to be SJV (Sincere, Joyful, and Virtuous), and they strive to live this out every day. The children are well behaved and love to be involved in all aspects of school life.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and highly organised Breakfast and After School and Holiday Club Lead to oversee our successful out of school provision. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in providing high-quality childcare, enrichment and recreational opportunities for children in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the provision, leading staff, planning activities and ensuring children enjoy a positive experience that supports their wellbeing, development and enjoyment.

Grade: NJC pay Grade D - scale point range 7 to 11
Salary: £27,274.00 to £29,071.00 (FTE)
Actual Salary: £13,138.00 to £14,004.00

Hours:
- 20 hours per week (15 per week in After School Club & 5 per week in Breakfast Club)
- 9am until 4pm in Holiday Club, 7 weeks per academic year
