Job summary

Early Years Academy is recruiting a Breakfast & After School Club Manager in Kingsbury, London. This part-time, term-time-only role offers 23.5 hours per week with morning and after-school shifts and 1 hour weekly admin time, in a rewarding childcare leadership position.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 childcare or above, enjoy leading a team, and ensure safeguarding and high standards of care for children. Salary is £14,139.48 per year with holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Essential: Level 3 qualification in Childcare or relevant equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children in nursery, school, wraparound care or childcare setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead a team and manage daily childcare operations.
• A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of the breakfast and after-school clubs.
• Lead, support and supervise the childcare team.
• Create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children.
• Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare policies are followed.
• Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and school staff.
• Manage daily registers, attendance and administrative tasks.
• Support children’s wellbeing, independence and development.
• Ensure the smooth operation of both clubs.
