Job summary

Celebrity Cruises is seeking an experienced CDP Baker to lead the bakery operations on board, ensuring smooth daily production, quality, and presentation of the bread assortment used in daily menus.

You will coach and evaluate bakery staff, manage production forecasts, monitor food costs, uphold USPH standards, and coordinate with the Executive Chef to meet guest expectations across diverse menus.

Qualifications

• Two years' CDP Baker experience in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship.
• Culinary school degree required.
• Strong management in multicultural environments.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service and teambuilding skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and control of the Bakery Shop daily.
• Direct, coach, supervise, and evaluate direct reports with Head Baker.
• Responsible for production, quality, and presentation of bread for menus.
• Prepare production forecasts and record leftovers to minimize waste and cost.
• Supervise bread display setup in buffets.
• Adhere to USPH rules and regulations daily.
• Ensure bakery cleaning per Executive Chef schedule and prevent equipment damage.
• Prepare pantry shops for USPH inspections by ship management or inspectors.
• Manage requisition and transport of items from main stores to bakery shop.
• Ensure recipes/master list and yields meet company standards.
• Complete daily consumption recap for Executive Chef.
• Ensure bakery staff are punctual and properly uniformed.
• Understand Time and Attendance procedures and work schedules.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and other obligations as required.
• Coach and train assigned team members.
• Perform other duties as required.
