Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks an experienced CDP Baker to lead bakery production aboard our ship. You will manage daily operations, mentor the bakery team, and ensure quality and presentation of all bread offerings.

You will forecast production, monitor waste, uphold USPH standards, and coordinate with the Executive Chef to deliver outstanding guest experiences across buffets and dining venues.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years as a CDP Baker in upscale settings (hotel, resort, cruise ship).
• Culinary school degree required.
• Strong management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of cost control and guest service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bakery operation and production per policy.
• Direct, coach, supervise, and evaluate bakery staff with Head Baker.
• Ensure bread production quality and presentation for daily menus.
• Forecast production and monitor leftovers to control costs.
• Set up bread displays for buffets.
• Maintain strict adherence to USPH rules and regulations daily.
• Ensure bakery area cleanliness per Executive Chef’s schedule.
• Prepare bakery for USPH inspections by ship management or inspectors.
• Coordinate requisition and transport of items from main stores to bakery.
• Ensure recipes, master lists, and yields meet company standards.
• Complete daily production recap and train team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
