Job summary

Tjarks and Tjarks Design Group in Purley, UK is seeking a talented Brand Guideline Designer to join its dynamic guidelines team. You will translate client briefs into clear, visually compelling brand guidelines and manage projects from concept through delivery.

You will work with packaging, print processes, and artwork, ensure technical accuracy, mentor junior staff, and maintain high standards under tight deadlines in a fast-paced studio.

Qualifications

• You will have a background in packaging artwork and design, and/or good knowledge in print processes.
• Branding experience in a creative environment, capable of developing and implementing brand guidelines.
• Experience crafting detailed corporate guidelines, style guides or annual reports is advantageous.
• You are a conceptual thinker with a logical, systematic approach and an eagle eye for precision.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat, with strong layout skills.
• Experience in managing projects and mentoring team members to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• You will learn quickly about the entire brand guideline process and ensure the department runs smoothly.
• Develop brands from inception to guidelines in line with deadlines and client briefs.
• Manage staff scheduling, weekly guideline meetings, and ensure cost-efficient turnaround within budget.
• Oversee lifecycle of brand guidelines, ensuring all tasks meet required standards.
• Lead and mentor the team to maintain high standards and timely delivery.
• Provide expert advice on master elements to be prepared or retouched for guidelines.
• Analyze projects to determine the most logical structure and content of guidelines.
• Identify elements to include in guidelines and explain them clearly.
• Anticipate and solve potential problems in creating new brands.
• Set up new guidelines using templates and ensure pages are well-designed.
