The Works in Ripon is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant to greet customers, guide shopping choices and assist with stock, tills and store upkeep. You’ll be part of a team that delivers prompt, friendly service and creates welcoming experiences for every visitor.

You’ll engage with customers, answer questions and recommend products that spark creativity and play. The role includes helping with deliveries, stock management and upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service is beneficial.
• Able to learn tills and handle transactions accurately.
• Willing to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Proactively approach and engage customers, starting friendly conversations to understand needs and make recommendations from our product range.
• Deliver a friendly, knowledgeable, and consistently amazing customer experience.
• Stay informed about products, promotions and services to help customers make informed choices.
• Maintain excellent store standards including merchandising, cleanliness and stock replenishment.
• Operate tills accurately and handle transactions with care.
• Support with deliveries, stockroom organisation and product availability.
• Follow all procedures including health and safety and loss prevention.
• Work with your team to meet store targets and KPIs.
• Be a brilliant brand ambassador - positive, professional and passionate about what we do.
• This role involves moving across different store areas, with occasional use of stairs and handling deliveries.
• As a Keyholder, you may open/close the store and assist with cash handling and security.
