Job summary

Pertemps Education Network in Reading is seeking a proactive Sales & Customer Service Operator to join our busy branch. You will assist customers in person and over the phone, prepare quotations, process orders and help ensure the branch runs smoothly day to day.

This full-time role requires strong customer service, sales confidence, and good computer literacy. You will work Mon-Fri 7:30am–5:00pm and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Sales experience or confidence upselling products.
• Computer literate and comfortable using internal systems.
• Positive, hands-on attitude with a strong team ethic.
• Organised with good attention to detail.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors when required.
• Physically fit and willing to support with manual handling duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers over the phone and at the trade counter.
• Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities.
• Process customer orders and update customers on progress.
• Promote products, upgrades, and seasonal offers.
• Maintain accurate sales records and paperwork.
• Work closely with transport, stores, and administration teams.
• Support stock ordering and branch merchandising.
• Assist with shows, displays, and general branch presentation.
• Help with goods in, stock handling, and general branch duties.
