Job summary

Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts is seeking a Hire Manager for its Edinburgh branch to lead a busy tool and equipment hire operation. This permanent, full-time role reports to the client and focuses on driving sales, meeting targets and developing a small team.

The successful candidate will manage stock, ensure safety and readiness for hire, build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to grow revenue through proactive account management.

Qualifications

• Previous team leadership or management experience is advantageous.

Working Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm, plus alternate Saturdays, 8:00am-12:00pm, the successful candidate will lead a busy tool and equipment hire branch for a third-party client. Duties include driving sales performance, meeting targets, and developing a team of three. Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a customer-focused approach are essential. The postholder will manage stock levels, ensure equipment is safe and ready for hire, and build lasting client relationships while spotting chances to grow revenue.
