Job summary

Nationwide in Glasgow is seeking a Customer Representative to support customers in branch, over the phone and online. You’ll handle everyday transactions, answer queries and guide customers toward banking services and digital tools.

The role is permanent, full-time (35 hours) with a 45-minute commute radius from the branch. You don’t need banking experience, but a passion for customer service and the ability to adapt to busy days will help you thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience or passion for customer service helps you thrive.
• Patience, empathy and strong people skills are essential.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Digitally savvy and comfortable using technology.
• Able to guide customers face to face, on the phone and via our digital services.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs, offering trusted help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately, keeping security and fairness in mind.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that fit their needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a busy branch to deliver excellent service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, identify issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
