Job summary

Nationwide is hiring a Customer Representative in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. This permanent, full-time role (35 hours/week, Monday–Saturday) involves helping customers in-branch, over the phone and online, guiding them through banking services and digital tools to manage their money effectively.

The position requires a customer-focused mindset, with no banking experience required, and a commitment to being part of a local community on the high street.

Qualifications

• You don’t need banking experience, but experience or a passion for customer service helps you thrive.
• You should be able to show how you help customers feel confident, supported and listened to.
• You excel in a fast-paced, high-interaction environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted, friendly help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately while keeping customer needs, security and fairness first.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that fit their needs and help them manage their money confidently.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a busy branch to deliver excellent customer service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
• Keep face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street.
