Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants Ltd. is seeking a friendly Branch Assistant for Total Plumbing Llantrisant. You will deliver excellent service in person and by phone, pick and prepare orders, and help keep the branch and yard organized.

Training is provided for forklift operation, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. The role involves loading vehicles, managing stock, processing transactions, and supporting with leads.

Qualifications

• Great communication and customer service skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude with attention to detail.
• Reliability and flexibility to support across different tasks.
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in retail, trade, or warehouse roles is a plus (but not essential).
• Forklift licence desirable — training is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class service to every customer, in person and over the phone.
• Accurately pick and prepare orders for deliveries, collections, and stock transfers.
• Loading vehicles on the yard and ensure goods are stored safely.
• Maintain stock levels, replenish shelves, and keep displays well-presented.
• Support with sales by processing transactions, raising paperwork, and forwarding leads.
• Handle supplier deliveries, checking quality and quantity of goods.
• Keep the branch, yard, and warehouse safe, clean, and well-organised.
• Operate forklifts safely (training provided if required).

Are you friendly, hardworking, and customer-focused? We’re looking for a Branch Assistant to join our busy team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in delivering excellent service to our customers while keeping the branch running smoothly.

Hours of work:An average of 43.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm, plus every other Saturday morning from 8.00am until 12.00pm.
