Job summary

Community Case Management Services Ltd in Shrewsbury is seeking an experienced brain injury Support Worker to join our dedicated team and assist a gentleman living in his own home with daily needs and community integration.

You will provide 7 days a week support across day shifts, evenings, and waking nights, with opportunities to cover holidays. A full driving licence is essential, and successful applicants will undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals with brain injuries.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team (MDT) with OT/Physiotherapists.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Qualifications such as an NVQ, Care Certificate or Degree are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support a gentleman with brain injury in his home and in the community.
  • Provide 7 days a week care across day shifts, evenings and waking nights.
  • Full driving licence is essential for community support.
  • Upon request, enhanced DBS Disclosure will be completed; full training provided.

Job description

We are looking for an experience d brain injury Support Worker to join an established and dedicated team supporting our client , a gentleman living in his own home in the Shrewsbury area , with his day-to-day needs and integration into the community.

Support is provided 7 days a week and includes a mixture of day shifts, evenings , and waking nights. There are also opportunities to pick up additional shifts to cover annual leave and sickness.

Over the coming months, the care team will be transitionin g to a wheelchair accessible vehicle, meaning your own personal vehicle will no longer be required for mileage while supporting our client out in the community, however a full driving licence is an essential requirement.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous e xperience supporting individuals with brain injuries
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) including professionals such as Occupational therapists and Physiotherapists.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ, Care Certificate or Degree are desirable but not essential.

Working Hours:

22 hours per week

Waking Nights : 22:30 - 09:30

D ay shifts : 09:30 - 22:30

Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturday waking nights

Rates of Pay:

Weekday : £1 5.50 per hour

W eekday waking night : £ 1 5.50 per hour

Bank Holiday : £ 31 .00 per hour

S leeping nights : National Living Wage

Accompanying the Client on holidays: National Living Wage

0.55p per mile in session mileage

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce with Barring. Full training will be provided.
